How to order custom CAD designed fine wholesale jewelry
Ross Metals offers a full range of CAD Jewelry Design Services. Simply make sure you're logged into your Ross Metals account, add the applicable services to your cart, check out, and we will initiate the custom design and production process.
Do you have a design in mind for a best-selling piece that you do not have the time or facilities to manufacture? Or is your customer looking to make a unique, one-time custom piece of jewelry? Ross Metals wholesale custom jewelry services are your solution for both, offering assistance with any step of the process, from designing the piece(s), to creating a precise CAD rendering, and then casting the rendering in the precious metal(s) of your choice in bulk or a single special piece.

The Custom Jewelry Process:
1: Design
To build a 3D model of a jewelry product, we need to know the ins and outs of your design idea. A simple drawing or photo will need to be submitted in order to help our design team get an idea of what you're looking for. This process takes approximately 5-10 business days, depending on the complexity of the project. The required up-front deposit will save your spot in our project queue.
*Please note: If you already have your CAD Design file, simply upload it and check out from our 3D printing page, and we will start the process at step 3, below.
2: Render & Approval
This design process will provide you with a photorealistic rendering of your custom jewelry piece, a detailed printable file, and the approximate weight of the metal that will be used in the piece. Using this mockup and metal weight, a full quote can now be submitted for your review.
3: 3D Print
Once your jewelry design mockup is approved, the rendered file is then sent to print using our 3D printer, where a 100% accurate proof of your custom jewelry piece will be physically printed in wax.
4: Casting
This wax print is then cast into metal by encasing it in a mold and heating the mold material until the wax melts. This will leave an identical negative cavity inside the mold that is then filled with the molten version of the metal you desire. (Example: Sterling Silver, 14K Gold, 18K Gold, etc.)
5: Cleaning and Polishing
After the molten metal cools, the mold is removed and the raw metal piece is revealed. This piece will be rough, with a sprue that will need to be cleaned and polished.
6: Assembly & Shipping
Sometimes, products will need a bail, earring post, diamond setting, additional polishing, etc. It all depends on the project at hand. After this is completed, your Custom CAD project is done and ready to ship!
